Exceptional Hardship Success For Charity Worker
This matter called for proof within Dumfries Justice Justice of the Peace Court on 5 September 2018. Our client had previously entered a guilty plea to a minor speeding charge however faced a possible totting-up disqualification through the accumulation of points over a three year period.
This was a particularly compelling exceptional hardship submission which revolved around the importance of our client’s driving licence to his employment and charity work. The court duly considered the vouching and references and ultimately accepted the position that various charities would be adversely affected in the event of a totting-up disqualification.
