Dangerous Driving M8 Motorway Ban Avoided
Our client was charged with a contravention of s.2 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, namely dangerous driving, by travelling at speeds in excess of 100mph on the M8 motorway and weaving back and forth out of lanes 2 and 3. This charge carries a minimum ban of at least 12 months. The case resulted in a penalty point endorsement of 8 points, the Crown eventually conceding that the driving complained of fell into the category of careless driving.
