Dangerous Driving Lochmaddy Benbecula Licence Saved

Kept Licence
Lochmaddy Sheriff Court

Our client was detected speeding at 80mph in a 40mph limit in the immediate vicinity of the EDF Music Festival

The speed was detected by means of a Unipar SL700 laser device and two police officers pulled him over at the scene.

He was warned that he would be prosecuted for dangerous driving due to the level of speed involved and that there was a popular music festival taking place nearby. The Court papers eventually arrived and he was indeed on the wrong end of a Section 2.

He contacted our Firm and dealt with our Mr Simpson who finally managed to persuade the Crown to reduce the charge to one of careless driving.

The matter called for a plea on 19th March 2025 at Lochmaddy Sheriff Court.

Our Mr Simpson appeared and addressed the Court fully in mitigation. Our client's licence was ulitmately spared; he received 8 penalty points along with a fine of £1,275.

An excellent outcome for our client.

 Kept Licence!
