Dangerous Driving 3 Points Glasgow Road Rage

Kept Licence
Glasgow Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of dangerous driving by reversing at speed, mounting the pavement, driving at a pedestrian and colliding with a vehicle.

He was also charged with failing to stop and failing to report an accident.

The truth was that this was a stand-off between two vehicles whereby both drivers refused to reverse. The driver and occupants of the other vehicle behaved in an aggressive manner and pelted our client's van with various objects and he had to leave with haste for reasons of personal safety.

The case was assigned numerous dates.

Our Mr Simpson attended Glasgow Sheriff Court on 11th March 2025 and was able to negotiate a reduced plea to the statutory alternative of careless driving

Following a plea-in-mitigation, our client's licence was endorsed with the minimum number of penalty points (3) and he was given a small fine too.

An outstanding result for a nice young man.
