Dangerous Driving Glasgow 100mph in 50mph Limit

Kept Licence
Glasgow Sheriff Court and Justice of the Peace Court

Our client was accused of dangerous driving in Glasgow by travelling at 100mph in a 50mph limit, contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 2 (as amended).

Our client was anxious to retain his driving entitlement and instructed a Not Guilty plea to be tendered on his behalf.

Our investigations confirmed our suspicions that the speeding had occured within the 70mph section of the M77 which significantly lowered the seriousness of the case against our client.

Representations were made to the Crown, and on 7th November 2022, our client - a new driver - pled guilty to careless driving. His licence was endorsed with 5 penalty points and he was fined £350, an outstanding result.
