Careless Driving Glasgow
Our client was charged with pulling out into the path of a delivery driver on her scooter, causing a collision and injury to the poor lady. It was immediately obvious to us that this was an accident. The law does not demand a standard of perfection whilst driving and accidents do happen on our roads. On the morning of the trial, we approached the Procurator Fiscal and requested that she speak to the other driver to ascertain her views on the matter proceeding. The delivery driver did not wish the matter to proceed any further and the Crown quite correctly determined that there was no public interest in pursuing a conviction. Our client was free to leave Court with his licence in tact (as we had assured him he would).
