Cannabis Driving Selkirk Case Dropped
Our client was visiting his family in Selkirk over the Festive Period. Police had cause to stop his vehicle and, upon doing so, performed a roadside test for cannabis. Our client tested positive and was arrested.
Blood samples were taken and he was found to have been over the prescribed limit for Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol. He was issued with a court citation and contacted our Firm for assistance having been recommended to do so.
We very quickly discovered a fundamental issue with the case. Our Mr Simpson contacted the Procurator Fiscal's Office and had a meaningful discussion of the case with a senior prosecutor.
The case was discontinued and our client was free to go before the case even made it to court.
