We received and reviewed the evidence in the case and approached the Procurator Fiscal to discuss accepting careless driving. Following much deliberation, the Crown eventually conceded that the driving was merely careless.

On 14th August 2024 our Mr Simpson attended at Livingston Sheriff Court and addressed the Court in mitigation. The Sheriff was entirely persuaded that the driving was at the lower end of the spectrum and endorsed his licence with 3 penalty points.

This was an exceptionally good outcome for a client who had originally faced a minimum 12 month disqualification and an extended driving test.
