Exceptional Hardship Airdrie

This matter called at Airdrie Justice of the Peace Court on 2 February 2023. Our client came to us with 9 points on his licence and court papers for a new matter involving an allegation of speeding – 113mph in a 70mph limit.

A very tricky case to navigate however a strategy was devised to give our client the best possible chance of retaining his driving licence. The case concluded with an exceptional hardship proof where the financial circumstances of the accused and his family were laid bare. Our submission was that his case should be viewed through the prism of the current economic climate and, having considered various legal authorities, the court agreed and allowed our client to retain his driving licence in all of the circumstances.
