Causing Serious Injury By Careless Driving Case Dropped

Our client was accused of causing serious injury by careless driving contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 2C.

The case was thin. In short, our considered view from the outset was that this was nothing more than accident. There was very serious injury caused to the motorcyclist, however, the standard of driving did not fall down to a level as to contravene the law.

Our Mr Simpson attended at Perth Sheriff Court on 10th March 2025. Following lengthy discussions and negotiations with the Procurator Fiscal Depute in Court, it was conceded that the incident was indeed an accident and our (delighted) client was free to go.
